Nic tried to help. Alex wasn't interested. The husband locked himself in the office.
Well, come to think of it - maybe the door wasn't locked.
That's neither here nor there, though - especially when you get a gander at this evergreen {faux} beauty.
Isn't she a beaut?!
I let the kids go out and pick out some ornaments of their own this year. Last year (you can see the actual tree in my header), I was so worried about everything matching, I kept our ornaments to three colors: green, gold and bronze. This year, I added some blue touches and then added all of the ornaments the kids and I picked out, like fluffy reindeer and stars. I even added a cardboard gingerbread man that Isabel made me last year. Next year, I will definitely add some red. Hmph, unless I find myself at the dollar store in the near future (which is where I got my fake poinsettias).
What I love the most, besides the hot cocoa and spending time with the girls, is the fact that you can see the tree from the sidewalk/street area. It looks breathtaking.
Or that could be the cold air that's taking my breath.
Either way, the tree is up and I am a happy camper.

ReplyDeleteYou know, you can take those locks off of the interior doors. Unless YOU need them....I'm just sayin'.
