The afters!!!

We have six spotlights (now I just need a microphone!!) - so I will take a picture this evening, to showcase those! ;) Lovely!

I am spent... this was hard work!

In case you are wondering - the bushes (ha!) in front of the columns are hibiscus (pink!), we have purple lantana (ground cover), some Boxwoods (ground cover), some honeysuckle bushes (orange), and some kind of bell vine (orange). The tree will be a big ol' Ash (when it survives this cold winter!).  Can't wait for the Spring!!

But my poor, poor Ash tree. He's got no clothes on. Darn winter! He looks so tiny, but he will get sooo big. Which is why he had to be planted 12-15 feet away from the house!! ;)

Merry Christmas (to us) and Happy New Year

We finally had our Christmas morning... on New Year's Day.
We were joined by my parents and my grandparents.  We had a great time and we were all spoiled.
The kids big gift this year was a laptop. Alex and Isa will be sharing that (sounds easier said than done, I am sure). And Nic got a hot wheels bike. The kid now has wheels (that he can barely reach). Watch out world.

And just to show you all how COLD it's been here in Arizona... This is the mud/water from my front yard (that part that hasn't been landscaped yet).  Yes, that's ICE.

As in Frozen.

Told ya it was cold.

Isabel is back to school today, Alex's school is closed (Teacher Development day) - he's at my mom's, and Nic is with me. It's Monday, so my 3-week vacation has come to an end. I am back to work... but I am starting to wonder if everyone else is off; I've only received one email today! lol...

Anywho - Happy New Year... I think Twenty Eleven is going to work out just fine!

Vegetables

I've been nothing but a vegetable since yesterday morning.
After our Christmas (we postponed it from the 25th until yesterday due to sickies in the house) the husband and I decided to do a marathon of the Pacific.
It was a gift from my parents...

So we've literally been couch potatoes.

Tomorrow, it's back to the grind.

Work, school, landscaping - busy, busy, busy!
