Tonight is Alex's first game!  He's got his game day jersey on, and is looking the part.
Say a quick prayer that he doesn't get hurt tonight. He needs all the brain cells he can muster for some quizzes coming up this week! :D

And, in case you failed to look at a calendar today - it's September 1st.
My oh my, are we really TWO days away from possibly closing on our first house?!

So long as the docs are delivered today, and a portion of my down payment funds from an online account ever make it to my local bank, we should be good to go!

The husband gave me a kiss this morning, wishing me a Happy September 1st.

Just a few things... and then I need to get off of this computer and start getting the family ready for the upcoming week.

1) Alex had his scrimmage yesterday. We also had a team potluck and a parent meeting.  The real games start on September 1.

2) We are set to do our closing walk-thru on Friday, September 3. We stopped by the house this weekend and looked around. We will be bringing our painters tape. There are tons of little things that need to be taken care of. Someone did touch-up paint... using a shade darker and FLAT paint. Smart.

3) I have so much to do to figure out the logistics of this move! Thank gosh we aren't due out of this place until October 15... That leaves us with almost a month to get moved and to clean up this place. I think a To-Do list is in order! Yay!

This is what I've been doing all week...

It's hard to believe school starts on Monday.

And life is gonna be crazzzzyyyy...

Alex gets fitted for Football today, and official practice starts on Monday...

We should have a good idea, either way, by the end of today.

It's Working!

Alex has been to 6 sessions of Strength and Agility training with his high school football team. You can see some biceps forming; he's getting stronger.  And on the plus side... he's lost 4 pounds already. We didn't set out for him to lose weight, but we know there was an opportunity to do so. I think it will all even out as soon as he gains more muscle.

He's taking this seriously and doing well; super proud mama over here!!
