Oh the pain and suffering I put him thru just to get a picture.
You'd think I was asking him to eat bugs. On a stick. At the Grand Canyon. On a rainy day. Without a mule.
Freak.
Oh but he's my freak and I lurve him mucho.
BTW, speaking of mucho... anyone else's Blogger log in page in FRENCH?! I know enough to know it's not English (or Spanish or German) - but that's it. Weird.

P.S.S. Today is chore day & BBQ day - the in-laws are coming for food and stuff. And then I get all of my sabrinos (nephews & niece) for the weekend. That's 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 children in my house - at the same time. Yay!

Spring Treats

Alex had his first game last Tuesday and I never shared with you the pictures I took. The rug rat was not on the starting list - so I could barely get any pictures of him (had nothing to do with the fact that he hates having his picture taken. nothing).
Combs ended up losing by a lot - but our guys had the SPIRIT... and did a fantastic job!
I found out that the boys had their usual lunch around 10:45 - and the game didn't end until almost 7pm. No one fed them!! So, I made a few trip to store this week and purchased the Snack Pack.
Think that will tide them over for their first away game?! I drove it down to the school at 1:30 just before they loaded the bus to leave. Another mom brought the drinks!
What you can't see are the Uncrustables - you know, the frozen PB&J sammies?! Love them! Thought they would be nice and easy for the ride over.
I have lots to share about Isa's softball team - but I will save that for another day! I am wiped out!
P.S. Did you take note of the hand sanitizer? Yes, I am that mom.
P.S.S. I got a text message from Alex as they were pulling away that said "ight. love you mom."

nic's first t-ball practice

Nic had his first T-Ball practice this past Wednesday.
It was an adventure. =)
It was weird... Nic was really the only kid who went after the ball. No matter where the ball ended up, Nic went running after it - from 3rd base. It was super cute.
There were times when Nic was more interested in the rocks on the outskirts of the field then with actually playing ball - but I kinda expected that. Also, there was one play where Nic was running from 1st to 2nd - and instead of sliding in - HE SERIOUSLY did a SOMERSAULT into 2nd base. It happened sooo fast, I couldn't get a picture of it. He had all of the parents laughing so hard.
Next practice is Wednesday - and then they have a game on Saturday. Can't wait! ;)
Isabel starts practice on Monday - and has it 3x a week. Alex's first game at the H.S. is Thursday - and he's been practicing 6x a week.
I am still in bed due to my back. I went to the ER yesterday and was given a medicine cabinet full of drugs; nothing seems to be working though.
The husband as me hooked up though - the laptop and this:
42" Panasonic. We were planning on getting a flat screen for the bedroom, he just expedited it. He worked hard this weekend to run all of the cables and lines in the wall. Eventually, the power cord will be in the wall as well, he just didn't get a chance to move the electrical box. He's also been feeding me really well and doing a bunch of other really sweet things. I am the luckiest gal, really.
I have so much to do - and I am so behind on everything... I cannot wait to get out of this bed and back to my normal, chaotic life.

Okay, not really - they aren't part of Operation: Bikini Tankini Body. I will have to settle for air-popped popcorn with a little Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. Should I change my post title? Neh. Too lazy.
Today marks Day 1 of baseball tryouts for Alex (and other kids @ his school, I presume. One kid not a team makes, right?!)
Nic and I had to get dressed and venture out into the cool air this morning (don't worry, I made it worth our while - a side trip to Mickey D's - chocolate milk for him and Iced Tea for me!). We had to get the last of Alex's athletic paperwork turned in and his fee paid (yes, we had to pay the fee BEFORE we find out of he even makes the team. WTHeck?). Nic got to see Alex at school - and then started crying when we had to leave him. I was all for leaving Nic there - but the front office ladies vetoed my request.
This will be Alex's first year ever playing team ball. He's put a lot of work in as of late. Open field, weight training, and playing catch with me and Isabel as often as possible.
Tryouts last all week. Send my boy some good luck vibes, will ya?!
Too bad they don't let you on the team based on looks alone.
Cuz my baby would be a shoo-in.
